Ceramic fiber paper and felt products consist of a group of wet-laid nonwoven materials. The materials are manufactured using alumino-silicate fibers wet-laid with a latex binder system to form a randomly oriented matrix. These products are flexible, lightweight, and possess excellent thermal characteristics. By blending different fibers, binders, and additives while varying the manufacturing process, a wide variety of paper and felt products can be produced for a wide range of applications.

Paper Manufacturing Capabilities

Ceramic fiber papers are created with a non-woven matrix of blended alumina-silicate fibers, binders, and additives. Fibers are randomly oriented forming flexible, uniform, and lightweight sheets to assist in a variety of insulating needs. Ceramic fiber paper can be die-cut into custom shapes.

Felt Manufacturing Capabilities

Ceramic fiber felts are wet-laid uniform mats impregnated with a thermosetting resin. Felts are compressible but resilient, filling the gap between ceramic fiber blankets and boards. This unique material is conformable, with sufficient integrity to hold their shape in formed parts or gaskets. Curing the thermosetting resin holds the desired shape and felts are available pre-cured or uncured. Ceramic fiber felts can be die-cut into custom shapes.
